The Corporate Affairs department of MSPS designed and implemented the lightening of the Panathenaic Stadium on the 13th and 14th of November, with the international blue color of diabetes to mark this year’s World Diabetes Day on behalf of Novartis Hellas. The action was conducted under the auspice of the Hellenic Diabetes Association and with the kind support of the Greek Ministry of Health.

As part of the many activities implemented for this year’s celebration of World Diabetes Day, MSPS organized a press conference as well as the official lightening ceremony where representatives of the political leadership, health agencies, celebrities, academics and many more showed their support with their presence.

The official opening ceremony was conducted by the Greek Minister of Health, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis.

USA, France, Australia, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Denmark, Japan, Holland, Peru, Spain, Mexico, and a variety of other countries participated during this year’s International Diabetes Federation initiative. Historical buildings and monuments were lit blue, sending a message of awareness regarding the World Diabetes Day.
